Rose Christine Oelkers

Rose is a PhD candidate in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences of Columbia University. Previously Rose has worked as the lead technician in the Tree-ring Lab from 2015-2018 on a variety of projects related to wood density and stable isotopes.  Today her PhD thesis is focused on developing new tree-ring chronologies in Bolivia and Peru to assess how tropical species are responding to environmental change. She is co-advised by Drs. Rosanne D’Arrigo and Laia Andreu-Hayles.
